The Lead Technical Writer will be responsible for the internal as well as publicly facing documentation regarding the Eco-Movement products and internal processes. He or she will be the first dedicated technical writer on the team and will have the responsibility to set up a structured process for producing and updating our documentation as part of our software engineering processes. Eco-Movement main products are data that is made available through APIs as well as reporting tools. Documentation plays a key role in how our customers and partners take advantage of our products. You will create high-quality and understandable internal and external documentation.
You will work closely with our Product Team to gain an in-depth understanding of our products and the documentation requirements that come with it. This will allow you to translate information about our API and client platform and our data in general into easily understandable information.
Outcomes
- Up-to-date documentation about our products
- Upkeep of publicly facing release notes
- Up-to-date internal documentation on our products, way of working and release notes
- Process for updating documentation for our product development cycle where we ship new features and improvements
Qualifications
- +5 years of experience as a technical writer
- Have a proven track record in creating and reviewing technical documentation
- Have knowledge and experience in software development, specifically with APIs, web applications and data services
- Experience in using Apiary (or a similar tool) and Confluence
- Proactive, detailed and consistent
- Flawless in English, both written and spoken (near-native level)
